Kristina Briggs-Clark

MSW, LCSW

Kristina Briggs-Clark is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2014. Following her undergraduate, she completed a year-long program working at a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Center for adolescents, which helped solidify her passion for working in the mental health field. She went on to pursue her graduate degree and earned her MSW in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2018.

Kristina began her professional career as the team lead on an Intensive In-Home therapy team, providing community-based individual and family therapy to children and adolescents. Since then, she has worked primarily in psychiatric hospital settings - first as a therapist and caseworker for acute inpatient units, then as an assessment clinician, and most recently was the primary group therapist for an outpatient Partial Hospitalization program for adults experiencing severe mood disturbance, patterns of self-harm and suicidal ideation.

Kristina pulls in therapeutic approaches that she feels best to meet the need of the client, often including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and expressive arts therapies. She enjoys working with clients experiencing mood disorders, personality disorders, and trauma-related disorders. The goal is to create a therapeutic environment and relationship that feels safe, comfortable, and most importantly has the client in the driver’s seat of their journey.

Kristina works primarily with “tweens,” adolescents, young adults, and adults.
